If you’ve never worked with a VA and would like to have more certainty and clarity about how you can build a strong partnership that can benefit your business, follow these easy steps and get the most benefits out of this relationship:

1) Get to KNOW your VA. Ask all the necessary questions and clarify any doubts (even if you think they are silly) during your interview or consultation.

2)  Establish a TRIAL PERIOD. Decide if you and your VA are a good fit for each other. This step can be accomplished at a minimal investment, with no strings attached.

3) SET BOUNDARIES. Have a clear understanding of what the rules are. How and when meetings can be scheduled, what is considered worked time, what is the best way to exchange information, etc.

4) COMMUNICATE! Be specific on what you need and when you need it. Also, be open to feedback. 

5) STAY IN TOUCH. Schedule meetings on video or over the phone to keep the connection and teamwork spirit going.

6) Work with your VA to create a TASK MANAGEMENT SYSTEM to keep track of what gets accomplished.
