You Don’t Need the Whole Path

I found this photo of my daughter, Liani, and I when she was about six months old. I look at it now and smile, because I can feel how new everything was. I loved being her mom already, but I had only six months of experience. I had no idea what was ahead, the doctor visits, the surprises, the hard days, the big feelings, and the kind of love that stretches you in every direction.

When I look at this picture, I want to hug that version of me and whisper, “You’re going to be okay.” Not because it will be easy, but because you will grow into it. Motherhood has been the job I enjoy the most, and it has also challenged me in ways I could never have predicted.

And honestly, building my business has felt the same. I am grateful I did not know everything that would come with it, because I might have talked myself out of starting. I love being a business owner. I love the freedom, the flexibility, and the ability to choose my work. I also know, firsthand, that unexpected things happen, and the learning curve can be steep.

This photo reminds me of a few truths I keep coming back to:

  • You do not need to see the whole path to take the next step. You just need enough courage for today, and the willingness to learn as you go.
  • If you pay attention to the quiet whispers of life, you will be guided. The right priorities become clearer over time, and what feels confusing now can be figured out.
  • The right people stay, and what is not meant for you falls away. Relationships, environments, and even old versions of yourself shift when you keep choosing growth and integrity.

There is never a final finish line. There is only the process, the becoming, and the moments that remind you why you started. If you are in a season that feels hard or uncertain, I hope you hear this with love: trust the process. Keep going. You are going to be okay.
