1) My day starts the night before – This is when I create my to-do list for the next day. Everything that is on my mind gets transferred to a piece of paper and is no longer bothering me. Also, every single thing that I need to do gets scheduled on my calendar.
2) The first hour of the day is for me – I wake up at least an hour earlier than the rest of my family and use this time for self-care. Having a daily me-time improves my performance and fuels energy levels.
3) I look at my calendar and open my daily tools – Looking at my calendar helps me get ready for the day ahead of me. Having all my programs open allows me to keep working without pausing to open a new tab.
4) I take care of demanding projects first – Challenging projects get done first thing in the morning. Tedious tasks get done early as well. Energy levels start decreasing by the end of the day, so I save simple tasks for that time.
5) I avoid task-shifting – This is the hardest thing for me to do but it helps me a lot. Focusing on one task at a time saves me so much energy! I get things done faster and better. It also helps me not to make mistakes.

Having a Polish boyfriend comes with a lot of perks. One of them is learning new holiday traditions that add joy to those special days.
These eggs are called “Pisanki” and were decorated by my boyfriend’s dad. The process is as follows: boil eggs, boil water with onion skins, soak hard-boiled eggs in the dye, let them dry, and finally, scratch them with a knife or other sharp object.
If you give it a try, let me know how it goes. I hope you had a great Easter!
